Welcome to a tribute to The Paradise Garage.

   This web site came about as a need to express my devotion and feelings for a place, and a time, that I hold dear in my heart. I was one person among an amazing group of people who gave their love and talents to make the weekends at the Paradise Garage as memorable as they were.

I would like to dedicate this website to my friends and co-workers, because this little corner of the internet belongs to all of us.
    This has been on my mind for a long time, I mean since I came into house music. I've always heard about this thing called underground… House is underground. Garage is underground. The underground charts, the underground DJ's… What are we hiding here ?

   My actual name is Ibiwunmi Omotayo Olufunke Felicity Olaiya. I am known as WUNMI which is half of my first name!!! I was born in South London, Camberwell, raised in Lagos, Nigeria from age 4 to 14 and then returned to South London (Stockwell).

   What do all these names have in common? The fact that their souvenir has been kept strongly alive in the collective memory along the years/decades, hot on the heels of an obivously prematurated passing.
